Assignment Description

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to reprogram and further develop a pre-assembly piston line. The work will be performed onsite and involves creating new code for an operational production line.

You have solid experience with Siemens TIA Portal (v17+) and are proficient in LAD, GRAPH, and SCL. The system environment includes Siemens 1500 F PLCs, HMI Comfort Panels, OPC UA, Profinet, and Cognex vision systems.

Your responsibilities include designing and implementing control logic, architecting the PPAP software system, defining signal models, and ensuring robust communication and safety functions. Experience with simulation, virtual commissioning, and industrial network troubleshooting is highly valued.

Qualifications:

• You have at least seven years of experience in Siemens TIA Portal automation projects
• You have three or more years developing machine logic from scratch.
• You are experienced in modular and reusable code architecture within large systems and have led reprogramming efforts for existing production environments.
• You have experience with traceability, multi-variant logic, and MES integration is highly valued.
• You hold a bachelor’s degree in industrial automatio.
• You communicates fluently in English (Swedish is a plus),
• You thrive in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
• You are a confident technical lead who can engage effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders, maintaining flexibility and a cooperative mindset throughout the project.
