Assignment Description

We are urgently seeking a skilled and hands-on Lead Cloud Migration Architect to join a large-scale migration and modernization program. The assignment is set to start immediately, and you will take a leading role in driving the transition of workloads from Azure and on-premises environments to AWS, utilizing an established AWS landing zone. The role requires on-site presence three days per week.

In this senior position, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining a clear and cohesive migration architecture that aligns with enterprise objectives and technical standards. You will oversee the full migration and modernization lifecycle — from designing architectural frameworks to developing reusable Terraform/CloudFormation modules and CI/CD templates that adhere to enterprise and security requirements. The role also involves shaping standardized migration paths (rehost, re-platform, refactor), defining non-functional requirements, and ensuring compliance through policy-as-code and IAM controls. Success in this position relies on close collaboration with Enterprise Architects, Product Managers, and System Teams, as well as active participation in agile and architectural governance to secure operational readiness and effective SRE integration.

Qualifications

• Proven, hands-on experience leading large-scale migrations from Azure and on-premises environments to AWS is required — this is a core condition for the role.
• A pragmatic and results-oriented mindset, combined with high standards for quality, reliability, and security.
• Familiarity with agile delivery models, preferably SAFe, and experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong technical background in Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD automation, container platforms (EKS/ECS), serverless technologies (Lambda), networking, IAM, and cloud security.
• Demonstrated leadership, clear communication, and ability to coach and support others effectively.
• A minimum of eight years of experience within cloud architecture or engineering, with deep AWS expertise and solid understanding of Azure.
• Practical experience implementing policy-as-code, ensuring data protection, and designing cost-efficient (FinOps) solutions.
• Background verification will be required before onboarding.
