Assignment description

We are looking for a senior AWS/DevOps Engineer to take technical ownership of a cloud-based workshop platform. The role combines platform engineering and DevOps, enabling development teams to deliver features efficiently and securely in an agile environment.

You will design and maintain AWS infrastructure (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch), develop CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation. The work includes ensuring platform stability and compliance, driving automation and standardisation, and supporting teams with deployment flows, integrations and observability. You will also contribute to architectural decisions, cost optimisation and long-term scalability.

Qualifications:

• You have 5–10+ years of hands-on AWS production experience.
• You have deep knowledge of ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM and VPC networking.
• You have experience with CloudFormation and/or AWS CDK; Terraform expertise is a strong advantage.
• You have advanced skills in designing and troubleshooting GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• You have solid experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• You have scripting and automation skills in Python or Bash.
• You have a good understanding of API design, integration patterns and microservices architecture.
• You have experience with Node.js, Python or .NET (meriting).
• You have experience working with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog or Prometheus/OpenTelemetry.
• You have experience in incident handling and performance tuning.

Meriting Skills

• Deep AWS CDK knowledge
• Experience from large enterprise DevOps environments
• Serverless architecture (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge)
• Understanding of Angular/TypeScript CI/CD needs
• Automotive or workshop/diagnostics domain experience
• Experience acting as Scrum Master, technical lead, or similar agile leadership role, and supporting team alignment, facilitation, and continuous improvement

You are self-driven and confident in complex environments, with strong communication and collaboration skills. You take ownership, drive initiatives proactively and work in a pragmatic, structured and quality-focused way. You also feel comfortable supporting and coaching multiple development teams.
