Assignment Description

We are seeking a developer with experience in C++ and Linux to contribute to advanced software development. The work focuses on next-generation searchlight systems, covering both embedded solutions and Linux-based platforms, where close interaction between software and hardware is a central aspect. A key part of the role is ensuring that different system components function together reliably through practical system integration work, while also supporting improvements in development efficiency through CI/CD processes. The role requires on-site presence four days per week.

Security considerations are embedded throughout the development process, and you will be involved in implementing solutions where cybersecurity is taken into account from an early stage. The role also includes working with video-related functionality to support enhanced system capabilities. Collaboration is an important element, as you will work alongside teams within electronics, mechanics, and product development to realize technical concepts.

You will also take part in reviewing code, performing testing, and contributing to ongoing improvements in development practices. The position requires an individual who takes responsibility for their work and values delivering robust solutions. It is well suited for someone who is engaged, enjoys practical problem-solving in environments where software meets hardware, and appreciates working in a team where ideas are continuously discussed and refined.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong coding capabilities in C or C++, along with familiarity in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Professional working proficiency in English
• An academic background within Computer Science, Electronics, or another closely related discipline
• Solid grasp of how different system components are integrated and interact
• Between two and five years of practical experience working with embedded software in combination with hardware
• Hands-on experience from development in embedded environments and/or within Linux-based systems

It is considered an advantage if you have experience working with cybersecurity concepts, as well as familiarity with video processing technologies. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is beneficial.
