Assignment Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer for a hybrid role requiring on-site presence three days per week. The position is within an organization developing location-based services that support individuals with dementia, their relatives, and care professionals. The platform is business-critical and operates continuously.

The role is hands-on and central to the technical platform, covering backend development, operations, IoT integrations, AI enablement, security, and platform stability. It includes both new development and improvement of existing solutions, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and code quality. Key tasks involve developing and maintaining backend systems in C# and .NET, designing APIs, managing server-side logic and device communication, and optimizing billing systems. The role also includes integrating AI capabilities, ensuring maintainable and testable code, and proactively preventing issues.

You will be responsible for running production systems, handling deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and releases, as well as monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. The work includes integrating GPS and IoT devices, ensuring reliable alarm delivery, and performing advanced diagnostics. Collaboration with hardware and firmware vendors is required, along with contributing to AI initiatives and internal dashboards. The role also involves IT security tasks such as system hardening, vulnerability management, and compliance work. A structured, accountable, and pragmatic approach is expected, along with the ability to work calmly in critical environments and collaborate effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML in production settings, combined with solid backend development experience in .NET/C#
• Ability to work effectively within complex, interconnected system landscapes
• A minimum of five years’ professional experience in backend development roles
• Proficiency in Danish, both written and spoken
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and automation
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL and database management
• Demonstrated experience in running and maintaining live production systems
• Proven expertise in designing backend architectures and building APIs
• Strong practical experience working with C# and the .NET / .NET Core ecosystem

It is considered an advantage if you have experience working with DevOps practices and cloud-based infrastructure, familiarity with IoT solutions including hardware or firmware, knowledge of IT security and compliance frameworks, experience integrating AI functionality into backend systems, as well as an understanding of mobile applications on iOS or Android platforms.
