Assignment Description

We are seeking a structured and collaborative Android Audio Software Developer for automotive infotainment systems. The assignment focuses on developing, maintaining and improving Android-based infotainment software, with emphasis on the Android HAL and Android Framework layers, Android integration in an automotive environment, and platform functionality, performance, reliability and scalability.

You will work with the interaction between Android platform layers and hardware-related functionality, including integration with sensors, displays and audio systems. The role involves close collaboration with product managers, UX/UI designers, vehicle system engineers and other technical and non-technical stakeholders. Good communication skills are therefore important. You will also participate in system architecture discussions, code reviews and optimization activities, investigate and resolve issues related to platform performance, integration and functionality, and apply relevant Android development practices to continuously improve the platform.

Required Qualifications

• Solid Android development experience, with specific exposure to the HAL and Framework layers.
• Ability to solve problems effectively and work in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
• Academic background at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
• Professional working proficiency in English communication.
• Knowledge of development within AOSP, Android Open Source Project, and AAOS, Android Automotive Operating System.

It is considered meritorious if you have experience with automotive infotainment systems or embedded systems. It is also considered meritorious if you have knowledge of Swedish.
