Assignment description
We are looking for an E-commerce & Brand Licensing Consultant to establish and manage a controlled online setup for licensed brands.
The assignment focuses on supporting external licensees in online sales and marketplace setup, while ensuring that the brand owner maintains control of the online brand experience, governance and access rights. The goal is to create a scalable setup where licensees can sell effectively within a structured and controlled environment.
This is a standalone, hands-on role with end-to-end responsibility. You will define the strategy, identify the right way forward and implement marketplace presences in the US and Europe, with potential expansion beyond these markets. The role may also include managing a number of straightforward brand websites directly.
You will work independently while collaborating with group functions such as Finance, Legal, IP, Design and Brand Strategy. The assignment also includes creating a structured handover that enables the setup to be maintained afterwards, either by you or by someone else in a smaller, part-time go-to person capacity.
What you will do
- Map the current online GTM environment for licensed brands and identify opportunities, risks and structural constraints
- Explore and assess relevant business models, channels and partner types – distinguish true opportunities from nois
- Define the preferred online GTM setup per brand and present a clear recommendation for how to solve the problemIdentify key stakeholders across Brand, Legal, Digital, E-com, IT and Sales – align on roles and responsibilities
- Lead practical implementation – set up marketplace accounts, build brand stores and establish operational structures
- Onboard and enable licensees so they can sell within a controlled brand environment with the right access and permissions
- Build and maintain a structured repository for logins, credentials, permissions, process documentation and handover materials
- Oversee and improve licensee-operated branded websites and establish governance for traffic routing from official brand domains
- Ensure a solid handover plan so operations can continue smoothly after the assignment ends, including defining a realistic part-time ”go-to person” model for ongoing support
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce, marketplace management or brand licensing
- Solid understanding of how marketplaces work – Amazon experience is strongly preferred
- Experience from the US market and platforms such as Walmart or Home Depot is a plus
- Startup or entrepreneurial background – you are used to moving fast, figuring things out, and getting things done independently with limited resources and no dedicated team around you
- Strategic thinker who is also hands-on – you build the plan and execute it yourself
- Comfortable being the sole owner of an area – self-driven, able to set direction without close day-to-day oversight, while knowing when and how to pull in group functions for support
- Creative and driven – you push things forward and are not afraid to give feedback
- Experience maintaining brand consistency across digital channels and marketplaces
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
- High operational discipline and structured way of working
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Digital/E-commerce, IT or equivalent experience
- English is mandatory, Swedish is a plus
