In this role as a EDS Buyer you are part of the Electrical Procurement team, which is a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of materials and services – at the right cost, quality and technology is essential for the success of the company. Ultimately, it’s all about cooperating with people inside and outside the company to create a superior experience for the people who buy and use their product.

At Software and Electronics they are now looking for a new member in the Procurement Electric Distribution System [EDS] Team, a developing and challenging area where you, together with a team located globally (Gothenburg, Charleston, Shanghai, and Prague), and other stakeholders such as R&D, Strategy & Business Owners, Manufacturing & Logistics, can shape the future and contribute to a personal, greener, and safer mobility.

Your work tasks:

• You will be part of the EDS team and be responsible for defining and implementing the commodity business plan
• Build/update strategies for the commodity by being involved in discussion with their main stakeholders (R&D, ME [Manufacturing Engineering], Logistics)
• Drive the development of the commodity to support their strategic objectives
• Lead sourcing projects to completion in collaboration with cross functional teams
• Manage and develop the supplier base
• Support other buyers in the segment in both internal and external stakeholder management
• Actively contribute to the team development, by bringing improvement ideas

Note that this role requires travelling from time to time (mainly within Europe but sometime overseas as well).
