In this role as a EDS Buyer you are part of the Electrical Procurement team, which is a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. At Software and Electronics they are now looking for a new member in the Procurement Electric Distribution System [EDS] Team, a developing and challenging area where you, together with a team located globally (Gothenburg, Charleston, Shanghai, and Prague), and other stakeholders such as R&D, Strategy & Business Owners, Manufacturing & Logistics, can shape the future and contribute to a personal, greener, and safer mobility.
Your work tasks:
You will be part of the EDS team and be responsible for defining and implementing the commodity business plan
Build/update strategies for the commodity by being involved in discussion with their main stakeholders (R&D, ME [Manufacturing Engineering], Logistics)
Drive the development of the commodity to support their strategic objectives
Lead sourcing projects to completion in collaboration with cross functional teams
Manage and develop the supplier base
Support other buyers in the segment in both internal and external stakeholder management
Actively contribute to the team development, by bringing improvement ideas

Previous experience within procurement and/or automotive is meritorious

Note that this role requires travelling from time to time (mainly within Europe but sometime overseas as well).
