Assignment Description
We are looking for a Software and DevOps Engineer to build and improve deployment, integration, and automation capabilities across data and analytics platforms. The role involves collaborating across multiple teams, with time allocated as needed based on priorities.
You should be comfortable in a platform-development environment where requirements and solutions may not yet be fully defined. The work requires transparent collaboration through backlogs, priorities, delivery plans, and agile practices. Clear English communication, documentation, reusable delivery patterns, and active knowledge sharing are expected to reduce dependency on individual team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong Git expertise, including designing and supporting branching strategies used across multiple teams.
- Good understanding of Azure delivery, identity, security, and environment management.
- Proven hands-on ownership of DevOps and CI/CD using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions, including YAML pipelines, artifact management, and promotion between environments.
- Approximately five or more years of software-engineering experience and at least three years of DevOps or CI/CD experience.
- Practical experience with Fabric Git integration, deployment pipelines, Fabric REST APIs or Item APIs, semantic-model deployment, or comparable Fabric CI/CD tooling.
- A strong software-engineering background and experience applying production-quality standards in at least one of Python, C#, PowerShell, or TypeScript.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, including integrations with enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience automating deployments for Microsoft Fabric and/or Power BI.
It is considered advantageous if you have experience with infrastructure as code using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates. Experience with observability solutions such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or comparable tools is also beneficial. Knowledge of event-driven integrations using Event Hubs, Service Bus, webhooks, or similar technologies is considered valuable. Experience with CI/CD for Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse is advantageous. Familiarity with automated testing of data pipelines, reports, notebooks, or semantic models is also beneficial. Experience with Azure identity and security automation involving service principals, managed identities, workspace identities, and Key Vault is considered useful. Additionally, experience with fabric-cicd, Fabric REST APIs, Fabric Item APIs, Tabular Editor, TMDL, or similar deployment tools is advantageous.
