Assignment description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical engineer to join a team responsible for handling customer and market requests related to specific truck configurations and specifications.

The team works with customer requirements by using a modular product toolbox and developing practical solutions within the existing vehicle architecture. The role involves working with truck configurations and complete vehicle solutions, with a particular focus on chassis composition and layout.

In this assignment, you will work closely with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate possible solutions and ensure that requested vehicle specifications can be successfully delivered. You will manage your own requests, orders and deliveries from start to finish, with support from the team when needed.

The role includes handling customer and market requests, evaluating technical requirements, coordinating solutions with relevant stakeholders and contributing to practical solutions for customer-specific vehicle needs. You will work with chassis composition, vehicle layout and complete vehicle systems, using engineering tools.

The assignment requires a high degree of independence and ownership, while also involving close collaboration with the team and other stakeholders throughout different projects.

Qualifications:

• You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or another relevant technical field.
• You have experience working with CATIA, OAS and ENOVIA.
• You have experience with chassis composition, vehicle layout or complete vehicle systems.
• You have a good understanding of vehicle configuration and engineering processes.
• You are able to independently manage technical requests, orders and deliveries.
• You are fluent in Swedish or English.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge and understanding of defence-related requirements.
• Previous military experience or other relevant military background.

You are a responsible and self-driven engineer who is comfortable taking ownership of your own work and deliveries. You have a structured approach and are able to independently move requests forward while knowing when to involve colleagues and other stakeholders.

You enjoy working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and have a genuine interest in learning and developing your technical knowledge. You are solution-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with both technical details and broader vehicle requirements.
