Assignment description

We are looking for a Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join a DevOps/Cloud team working closely with development teams to build and evolve a robust platform for fast and secure software delivery.

In this role, you will work with modern cloud technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of tooling, infrastructure and ways of working. The team values innovation and experimentation, while also focusing on refining and hardening the existing platform to ensure reliability, scalability and maintainability.

You will share responsibility for developing and maintaining a DevOps platform that supports a fully cloud-based application built on containerized microservices. The platform runs on Kubernetes, uses GitLab CI/CD pipelines and is managed through Infrastructure as Code, primarily within AWS.

Your work will cover areas such as cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, security and developer experience, with the overall goal of making it easier and safer for development teams to build and run software in production.

You are expected to take ownership of your responsibilities and learning, while contributing to a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing, joint decision-making, humility, transparency and accountability are highly valued.

Qualifications

• You have experience working as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer or in a similar role, such as system administration or backend development.
• You enjoy enabling development teams to deliver software efficiently, securely and reliably in their everyday work.
• You are comfortable working with modern DevOps and cloud-native practices, including automation, scripting, cloud infrastructure, version control, Infrastructure as Code, container platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• You have a pragmatic approach to balancing speed, stability and security.
• You are driven by continuous improvement, learning and collaboration.
