Assignment description

As a System Architect you will work mainly in early phases and with concept cars. You will give input on how to reduce the weight by challenging technical solutions and material choices. You will present your proposals to other technical areas and their architects and work closely with them to see your ideas implemented. Together with the architecture team at their department you will represent the team when it comes to balancing discussions and giving input in early phases, you will take part in early case studies and research opportunities.

You will play an important role when it comes to creating strategies for the weight team and improve our work processes. You will be part of a team and handle items from the team ́s backlog as well as giving input to the backlog. You will work closely with other system architects and project leaders within the department and be responsible for driving your own tasks and ideas to implementation.

Areas of responsibilities:

• Challenge technical solution and material choices in early phases and drive your proposals to implementation
• Communicate and educate other technical areas and architects regarding possibilities in reducing vehicle weight
• Represent weight in balancing discussions and other discussions with other areas
• Drive the tasks you request in the team ́s backlog and the tasks connected to early phases
• Perform concept studies and benchmark other OEM ́s
• Drive method development in early phases as well as work methods
• Strategies and roadmaps for early phases and their implementation

You and your skills:

• Self-driven and able to take initiatives on your own
• Have no problem driving your tasks even if you meet several obstacles on the way to implementation
• Presenting and communication with others comes natural to you and you like to take the lead in technical discussions.
• Highly motivated, creative, and curious person who is willing to embrace challenges and can operate in a frequently changing environment
• Possibility to handle al lot of data and find what is important, for example when it comes to analysing benchmark data
• Experience from developing components in metal or plastic is
  meritorious as well as have experience from Teamcenter and CAD models
• A university degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience and your English is fluent (written and spoken).
• Previous leadership experience is meritorious and you have an interest in the automotive industry
