Our client are looking for a Testing Technology Engineer within Network Communication to join their Testing Technology & Metrology team within R&D at our clients Headquarters in Gothenburg.
At Testing Technology & Metrology, they buy and own all testing equipment R&D. Their responsibility is to ensure that their global customers are equipped with the right tools and supported by their metrological expertise to help develop their future cars. They provide metrology expertise, solutions for testing, lending of instrumentation, design and service of development tools and solutions for testing departments. In doing so, they establish and develop relationships with test engineers within almost all system areas of the vehicle as well as building an understanding of the technology within those areas.
Job description:
As Testing Technology Engineer, you will be a part of a team (included in a bigger group of approx. 20 people) of 7-8 Testing Technology Engineers and help out in their day-to day activities.
You will supporting their internal R&D organization and their customers/colleagues in their use of a wide range of metrology and testing tools, with a focus on network communication solutions. You will provide support within fault tracing, functionality, and method development regarding their tools and measurement solutions within both software and hardware issues. You will work both strategically for the future demands and operational on existing solutions in cars, rigs and on the field. You will work closely with test engineers from the whole R&D. Some of their close collaborating departments are Electric Powertrain, Active Safety, Chassis and Electrics/Electronics to find suitable measurement solutions for their needs.
Examples of development tools they work with are INCA, Vector and Dewesoft, and examples of communication protocols that they use are Ethernet, CAN, LIN and Flexray.
By knowledge sharing, you will build and maintain a wide personal network both within R&D as well with their suppliers. You will get the opportunity to form your deliveries and to develop your skills, both technically as well as in metrology. Your expertise and abilities:
- A B.Sc. degree or higher in Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Metrology, or a related field.
- Previous leadership experience along with a background in technical support.
- Proficiency in network communication tools and techniques.
- General knowledge in the automotive industry and a genuine interest in technology and problem-solving.
- Experience in an agile working environment and possession of a driver’s license (B) are a requirement.
