Assignment description

Within our client’s team SCAR – Software Configuration and Release, they have the main responsibility within Software Products (SP) and within the release of Software Structure System (SSS) to aftermarket, to enable purchase of software and enable software download. The software will be installed in vehicle either via VIDA (traditional) or via OTA (new technology/systems). Hence, the role has a higher focus within enabling OTA deployments due to the level of system youth compared to VIDA. SCAR has responsibility within Fleet investigations, analyze, and batch vehicle and vehicle data through OTA software updates towards customers. SCAR also supports as a key contact in the aftermarket for OTA deployments. OTA Deployment support is as well provided by monitoring and mitigating customer impact by identifying issues through initial analysis and secure handover to R&D for problem resolution. Dashboard in Power BI is utilized for visualization of progress in deployment jobs.
Further, the responsibility refers to complete maintenance of SPs, as well as ensuring that customer vehicles are supported by the SSS in aftermarket. The team also have responsibility within certain test support of SPs and SSS with an aftermarket perspective. SCAR has close collaboration with product development (R&D), Spare Parts, Quality-team (CMQ), OTA-team and internal system applications (e.g. KDP, PULS, PIE, PGW, REFLECT).

What you’ll do:

• Ensuring that Software Products (SP) and Software System Structure (SSS) is available in aftermarket systems
• Providing cross-functionally support within the organisation related to software download in aftermarket, mainly within enabling SP purchase and complete SSS for vehicle, as well as OTA Deployments
• Verify SP and SSS in order to ensure software download in vehicle using VIDA and OTA in aftermarket
• Highly engaged within customer issues in aftermarket related to SP, SSS and OTA Deployments using a solution-oriented approach with a high sense of service, quality and short-lead time as guidelines
• Support and be involved in internal system development of relevant systems utilized within the SCAR team (e.g. VIDA, PGW, REFLECT, KDP, PIE, PULS)

Task description:

• Release SP and SSS in aftermarket system PIE based on request and cadence
• Support in OTA Deployments: creating VIN collections and deployment jobs, as well as analyzing failure related to OTA Deployments
• Support in aftermarket if customer issue related to SP, SSS or OTA Deployments
• Support product development (R&D) and software responsible when creating SP, recipe and SSS
• Responsibility of checking SSS during car project or Vehicle Update Software (VUSW), attend at CRB
• Responsibility in maintaining SPs, as well as register SPs in SPE/PULS
• Providing internal software support if requested within the organisation (e.g. TSS, integration, CMQ, OTA Deployments)
• Providing Verify SSS and vehicle conversion for internal aftermarket test to TSS as well as for Co-Development (CoDev) vehicles
• Support with education if requested, related to SP, SSS, and OTA Deployments in aftermarket, as well as high-level description of software download flow in aftermarket
