Assignment Description

Our client is looking for a PLM consultant to join their team remotely in Sweden. You will work in the data migration team, in the Next Generation PLM program, to support all R&D sites in the company in migrating from various source systems to TeamCenter. The data migration team works cross-functionally with business representatives from R&D, Product Management, Parts Management and Data Management. Your primary focus will be on E-BOM, Part, CAD and Engineering Change, but all functional areas will come into play when needed.

What you’ll do:

• Understand technical solutions and synthesize it with functional requirement
• Update the solution architecture, aligning functional requirements to technical solutions
• Propose technical solutions on how to migrate data from specific source systems such as SolidWorks, LotusNotes etc. to TeamCenter
• Work on performance issues related to data migration to find ways of reducing the leadtime and improve the predictability of data migration
• For technical issues, act as the company’s representative with the external partner to the NG PLM Program, to solve and agree on feasible technical solution for data migration
• In general, conduct gap analysis, update data model, and propose updates of the solution and data migration
• Take a step back, analyse and synthetize information
• Define, monitor and support best practices and standards for the solution and data migration
