As a Test Engineer in the area Usage Authorization functionality, you will play an important role by contributing to release quality ensured software for the driver authentication functionality as well as enable release of quality ensured software for new legal requirements.
The Usage Authorization team is responsible for designing and creating secure system to protect against unauthorized use of the vehicle. Our client own, design, and develop functions to prevent illegal start and movement. The team works with different levels of solution for the entire project lifecycle from function concept to end-to-end verification. The team works in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders towards every functionality.
Job description:
- Plan, prioritize and coordinate the work with your colleagues in the team.
- Analyze the requirements, develop test cases, drive the implementation of test automation and integrate them in CI Chain
- Develop test cases for requirements and implement test cases in CI Device.
- Identify test needs, execute test, and drive the implementation of test automation.
- Implement failure mode test cases.
- Support fault tracing and/or troubleshooting activities.
- Contribute to system testing and update of test methods, tools and processes.
- Contribute to the team’s test strategy and work with other team members to improve the teams overall test strategy and quality of test.
- Be a member in the agile team as well as managing interfaces with stakeholders internally and externally.
You will enable implementation of software to protect against unauthorized use of the car and make sure that the car is only drivable with a valid key or device.
You will be involved in all stages from development to verification and all the way to legacy maintenance.

Qualifications and Background:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent documented experience.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Swedish driving license B or equivalent.
Technical Proficiency:
- Good software development skills and knowledge in: Python/CAPL, Robot Framework/Jenkins, Git/Gerrit, Matlab/Simulink, Vector, Jira, Automation testing tools.
- Knowledge and understanding of C and C++ coding.
- Experience from working in a SAFe/Agile team and environment.
- Knowledge of Vehicle Mode Management is meritorious.
- Basic knowledge in TCP/IP including is meritorious.
- System Engineering experience is meritorious.
- System Weaver tool experience is meritorious.
- Elektra tool experience is meritorious.
- Requirement handling.
- Knowledge and awareness of: ISO 13400 DoIP protocol, CAN – 15765, ISO 14229 UDS protocol Wake-up strategies, CANoe, DSA, External/Internal Tester Priority State Machine, Logical architecture of Client Connection, Routers – Edge node and Gateway module.
- ECU Activation and De-activation Sequence.
- P2P, Eth LAN, WLAN, Tester and Client Connections, EDCC FR – Requirements and Subsystems, VCC DoIP specification, Vehicle speed, Vehicle modes, and Usage modes.
- Key architectural principles and the different layers.
