Our client in the automotive industry is looking for a Software download engineer.

Within Global Manufacturing Digital our client has a product called SWDL at Manufacturing with as main application VCATS, Vehicle Configuration And Test System. The application is used to perform Software download and electrical test/calibration/configuration using the vehicles built-in communication interfaces.

Our client is looking for an engineer that understands the technical landscape within car manufacturing but can also handle coordination tasks and maintaining contacts with other departments and teams within the company as well as with external suppliers.

Main responsibilities:

• Coordinate deliverables between Development-, Operations-, Vendor- and our client’s internal teams involved in their global applications used in the Software Download process in the manufacturing plants.
• Tracks deliverables to closure using Azure DevOps. Make sure all parties involved is informed about progress and that proper quality is maintained when delivering new functionality to the manufacturing plants.
• Fault tracing and troubleshooting in a complex environment

Required qualifications:

• Hands-on technical experience (Windows server, MS SQL, Linux, OpenShift, Kubernetes, containers)
• Understanding of Agile way of working
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Technical education at university level or equivalent experience

• VCATS, Local PIE and OneEngine application knowledge
