Our client in the automotive industry is now seeking a Software Engineer.

What you will do
We are looking for a developer to join our client’s product cluster Sustainability Digital and the Material Information Management product, mainly working with development, maintenance, and support of a MOTS (modifiable off-the-shelf) application called MaterialCenter that enables management of material information.
In the Material Information Management (MIM) team, you get to join one of several cross-functional product teams who work continuously on delivering new features and support for applications. You will join forces on exciting challenges ahead, enabling our client to design more sustainable cars through a deep understanding of the materials enabled by MaterialCenter, from a technical, infrastructure, process, and support perspective. There will also be needs and opportunities to build other applications and features related to the domain but outside of MaterialCenter.
You and your skills
You are an experienced software engineer with a great ability to solve problems, preferably including projects involving customization of off-the-shelf products.
Desired attributes:
It is important that you are passionate about what you do and focused on delivering business value. You should have a genuine interest in keeping yourself updated on best practices. Know and care about sound engineering principles like the single responsibility principle, automated testing, and maintaining code hygiene.
Mandatory requirements:
- COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) / MOTS (modifiable off-the-shelf) development (preferably MaterialCenter or similar)
- Software engineering experience (preferably in the automotive industry)
- Design and consume REST APIs
- General DevOps/CI/CD knowledge
- Agile methods of working
Good to have competences:
- Python
- React
- GraphQL
- Java
- JavaScript
- Regular Expressions (RegEx)
- Data mining/ML
- Tools: Azure DevOps & GitHub
