Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer – A&Q.

Our client believes that the key factors in building state-of-the-art cars are strategy, amazing people, and great tools. To achieve this, they have a group of product teams called Car Software Development Solutions (CSDS). Their primary objective is to support in-car software developers by creating, enhancing, and maintaining an extensive suite of digital solutions for best-in-class vehicle software development.

Our client’s team is a part of CSDS. Their primary responsibility is to provide services such as Artifactory (a binary management system), Black Duck (a software composition analysis system), SonarQube (a static code analysis system), and Polyspace Access (a presentation tool for Polyspace Bugfinder). These tools are widely used by several thousand developers within our client’s organization. Their team is committed to making their users’ lives easier by continuously improving and automating the services provided.

There are currently four DevOps engineers in the team who specialize in working with technologies and platforms such as Azure, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Argo CD.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with different stakeholder teams to better understand their needs.
  • Improve key characteristics of the services offered, such as user experience, performance, scalability, resource utilization, supportability, maintainability, and observability.
  • Automate the management of the services.
  • Implement a GitOps way of working.
  • Provide self-service and documentation for end-users.
  • Provide expert-level support for their services.

Requirements:

  • Azure Cloud and Azure managed services experience.
  • Experience in GitOps way of working.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Artifactory.
  • Experience in Black Duck.
  • Experience in SonarQube.
  • A good understanding of CI/CD.
  • Confidence in working with Linux and Git.
  • A good understanding of Azure and/or AWS.
  • Polyspace Access experience.
  • Good knowledge of high-availability applications.
  • Python proficiency.
