Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Java Cloud Developer.

The Connected Experience organization within R&D includes Remote Functions, Connectivity and Car Cloud Platform, Infotainment Platform, Applications, and Data & Diagnostics. Our client’s vision is to make all cars connected and provide a continuously enhanced experience for both new and existing cars. Their mission within the Department, Car Cloud Platform, and Remote Functions, is to enable remote functions globally to contribute to the overall connected experience. They build, provide, and operate a highly secure runtime ecosystem for functions and applications serving their connected cars and their users.

In the new domain of digital keys and approach, the phone will become the primary key for your car. We are looking for a senior developer who might be our client’s next lead developer within the team or a developer on the way to becoming this. Connecting the user and the digital key with the car in the cloud and the actual phone, that is the challenge they are going to solve. You will be creating solutions and integrating them with key players in the industry such as Google, Samsung, and Apple, among others.

Qualifications:

• Experienced cloud developer with 5-10 years of experience.
• Possess a curious mindset and prioritize quality, viewing CI/CD as essential for developers.
• Key knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, pivotal for leading future endeavors.
• Previous experience in the automotive industry is advantageous, given the necessity for tight integrations with vehicles despite the focus on cloud development.
• Database knowledge
• Cryptography and security knowledge
• Agile ways of working with Scrum and similar
• Automotive experience is beneficial
• BSc degree or higher in engineering, or equivalent experience
• Mastering the English language both spoken and in writing
