Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Safety Engineer.

They are a group of engineers with lot of energy and great collaboration working together on delivering Overhead console and reading lamps including technology to detect people inside the car.

Roof Zone Module group is a part of Interior Trim & Systems department consisting of approximately 130 engineers organized into groups developing components and functions within the following areas: Internal Perception, Interior Lighting, Acoustics & Floor, Compartment Trim & Overhead system, Accessories & Special Vehicles and Roof Zone Module.

Responsibilities:

• Drive development of functional and technical safety concepts within subsystems, software, and hardware.
• Perform functional safety engineering activities for product development teams.
• Develop technical work products.
• Write safety case and project safety plan.
• Conduct system safety joint review.
• Provide work products for safety argumentation when needed (e.g., traceability metrics, complexity measurement).
• Conduct safety analysis including FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), and assessing freedom of interferences at hardware and software levels.
• Participate in strategic planning for the group.
• Assist in partner/supplier selection.
• Review System Safety Statement of Work (SS-SOW).
• Contribute to initial concept design.
• Support production launch.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Documented experience in working with safety cases and safety plans.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with safety activities and deliveries according to ISO 26262.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of system and function design within the automotive industry.
