We are looking for a Senior SW Test & Analysis engineer Protective Safety to our client in the automotive industry. Their unit Safe Vehicle Automation develops and delivers leading Safety and Autonomous Driving. They even control the vehicle’s 6 degrees of freedom of movement in the most energy efficient way, creating a rewarding and confident drive and ride experience.
Their purpose is to develop and deliver Vehicle Motion and Control, ADAS, Highway Pilot and Protective Safety.

The department consists of ~200 skilled engineers and they are responsible all the way from research and advanced engineering to implementation, verification and validation of current and future customer offers. Their products quality and customer response are also the department’s responsibility.

The client’s ART (Agile Release Train) Protective Safety develops and integrates system and functionality into a complete product, encompassing SW, HW – ECU and peripheral sensors.
For Protective Safety, electronic sensors and ECUs detect, determine and activate different devices e.g. airbags and belts in case of an accident, and the system protects occupants inside the car and pedestrians outside in a crash situation.
In addition, their ART is also responsible for HP GNSS (High Performance Global Navigation Satellite System, which is one of the major contributors for enabling the Highway Pilot functionality.
You will be a member in one of their Agile Scrum teams.

As an analysis engineer your main responsibilities will be to develop automated tests and write test code for verification of the SRS system for current and future vehicle platforms, making sure their product is working as intended on all levels, SW / HIL / Vehicle.

To plan and execute the work needed for above levels, as well as to report to the stakeholders.
Different technical solutions are to be evaluated to secure that the vehicles meet their high safety standards.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop automated tests
  • To plan, lead and perform the System, Component and SW verification/validation both in rigs, HIL and in complete vehicle.
  • Be responsible for developing new test methods for automated testing and writing test code based on requirements.
  • Analyze test results, both the client’s own and the supplier’s, and communicate with involved parties.
  • Investigate and improve their test environments, making sure they cover the client’s needs for future platforms.
  • Problem solving, fault tracing and debugging
  • Being involved in technical discussion and decisions
  • Support and coach your team members

The client are expecting you to have a degree in computer science, mechatronics, electronics or similar. Other recognized engineering qualifications combined with relevant experience may be considered.

You should know your way around:

  • SW/System Testing
  • HIL development, build and improve environment based on need
  • Canoe, VTestStudio, CAPL and other Vector Tools and Systems
  • Test automation
  • Vehicle electrical architecture

Well acquainted with automotive concepts such as:

  • Communication protocols as CAN, Ethernet and LIN
  • Diagnostics, UDS, DoIP
  • SWDL and bootloaders
  • Autosar

It is meritious if you have:

  • At least 6+ years of both SW testing and HIL development
  • Driver license B.
  • Knowledge how to work in vehicle, connecting equipment and collecting logfiles
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, .Net
  • Linux experience
  • Knowledge in Git and Gerrit
