Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Design Engineer.

As a Design Engineer in our client’s Mech and PCBA team, you will work as a component responsible for mechanical subcomponents in the Inverter. You will take ownership of your parts, lead and drive suppliers, which includes leading technical design reviews, internal and supplier joint reviews, and follow-up on verification activities.

Responsibilities:

• Work with component design and integration in CATIA.
• Perform tasks related to Cost engineering, benchmarking, and reporting status/progress together with Quality Assurance disciplines such as FMEA.
• Foster close cooperation within the team and across Vehicle Propulsion to enable the future implementation of the most desirable Electric Axle Drives.
• Engage in an agile way of working cooperation within the team and with backlog deliverables related to each program increment (PI) to reach established and agreed team targets and solutions.

Qualifications:

• Possess a university degree within Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
• Have experience in product development and a strong understanding of development phases from initial concept to final delivery.
• Proficient in CATIA or equivalent 3D modeling tool.
• Experience with the HPDC (High-Pressure Die Casting) process is a merit.
