Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Safety Implementation Expert.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Software and Hardware System/Functional Safety design for complex Integrated Electronic Units using ISO 26262 as the basis. Review, assess, and approve requirements and solutions in the areas of electrical functions, architecture, legal compliance, attributes, etc., ensuring alignment with the standard. This responsibility encompasses all existing and planned vehicles across carlines.
  • Contribute to defining the software (SW) and hardware (HW) architecture to ensure compliance with the standard.
  • Participate in developing SW and HW structures and capabilities to meet the standard.
  • Develop and implement necessary safety mechanisms to ensure compliance with the standard.
  • Utilize your experience and knowledge to define implementation timelines, sequences, structures, and interfaces interactions.
  • Lead various teams and developers in documenting the area, emphasizing detailed solutions beyond standard document formats.
  • Lead, develop, and assess tests and verifications of solutions, as well as documentation.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and a wide network of engineers and interfaces in the development process.
  • Supplier involvement will also be integral, including design reviews, requirement handling, test and verification, and assessment to ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Master of Science degree or higher in Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or another relevant technical field.
  • Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in cross-functional work in the automotive industry, with product development experience in a fast-paced environment focusing on base software (SW) and electronics hardware (HW) development.
  • Experience with Autosar-based design is necessary.
  • Several years of experience in detailed development of HW and SW compliant with ISO 26262 is required.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with working in a global environment.
  • Previous experience in an agile setup would be advantageous.
