Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a junior SW Developer & Program Coordinator for the Data Collection System.

Our client is on an ambitious journey to redefine the customer experience in automotive through digital technology. Electrification, Autonomous Drive, and Shared Mobility serve as enablers for their overarching goal – freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way.

Software engineering is an increasingly critical area in the automotive industry. They are bringing more of the software development in-house to better handle continuous integration and the complex interactions between divergent functions. Connectivity is an enabler for most vehicle functions, including diagnostics and data collection, but also introduces privacy and cybersecurity risks that need to be managed through innovative and robust designs.

Their department is developing a solution that will enable our client to collect data from customer vehicles in a sustainable, personal, and safe way. They are responsible for creating measurement assignments to gather data from the Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in vehicles. Their responsibilities span across Data Collection System Product Function, Product Capability, and Customer Function within their department.

Responsibilities:

  • Member of an agile development team responsible for implementing and maintaining their product according to priorities set by the product owner.
  • Regular discussions with various Product Owners about their feature growth plans and introduction timeline to meet the car program releases.
  • Transformation of customer requirements into technical specifications and the capability to create test case scenarios when needed.
  • Collaboration with the team and stakeholders in defining requirements and maintaining the required system, i.e., SystemWeaver.
  • Participation in all forums and discussions around the information model way of working with the central team and informing relevant function owners within their organization.
  • Ensuring the correct structure of their SW components in the system.
  • Gatekeeper in their Program SW release plan.
  • Ensuring relevant verdicts and documents SW component structure are up to date.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical and/or Software Engineering or similar relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge in software development, testing, test strategies, and quality assurance.
  • Experience working with integration-driven development and evolving systems in a complex electrical system.
  • Foundational SW development experience, preferably from the automotive industry.
  • Good knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Golang.
  • Experience with protocols used in the Automotive industry like UDS, CAN, and Flexray.
  • Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management.
