Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior Prototype Modeler to strengthen their team with an experienced clay modeler. This challenging and creative role involves collaborating with the team and designers to develop new designs, primarily in clay. You will utilize your clay modeling skills to prepare models for both internal and external reviews.

Section 5127X, Physical Design Modelling Studio, is primarily responsible for creating physical design models and prototypes in close cooperation with project managers, designers, studio engineers, and suppliers. These models are crucial for the decision-making process of the management team. The department comprises four groups: 51271 Concept Modeling & Model Support, 51272 Physical Exterior Modeling, 51273 Physical Interior Modeling, and 51274 Color & Material Modeling. The department has a total of 25 permanent employees and currently around 20 consultants.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers to develop new clay designs, primarily for exteriors but also interiors.
• Create show models for reviews, focusing on exteriors but also interiors.
• Develop models to support critical decisions for managers.
• Take responsibility for results in assigned projects, both models and team members.

Required Qualifications:

• Modeler skills level 3
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to lead minor modeling projects.
• Effective communication with designers and project managers.
• Leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
• Proficiency in English.
