Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior Mainframe Software Engineer for the PS&L (Parts Supply & Logistics) cluster. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a team leading enablement to an end-to-end high-performance chain for our client’s Logistics department. This product cluster delivers digital solutions that support their business customers in ensuring stable logistics flows of spare parts to global destinations. One challenge today is the legacy system landscape, where their mission is to simplify and modernize it to serve future business demands. This is an exciting and challenging task for their teams, and of course, they have fun during this journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently understand, translate, and process requirements.
  • Design, build, and test the appropriate solution.
  • Guide, help, and mentor junior software developers.
  • Participate in projects to create software to support the PS&L Business.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on issues, incidents, and changes.

In this role, you will operate from their office in Gothenburg.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in Mainframe Software Development, working with JC’s, DB2DL1, z/OS, IDz, and other IBM Mainframe development tools.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience as a Mainframe Software Developer.
  • Ability to solve incidents, issues, and WSSYST Abends as quickly as possible.
  • Willingness to join an international team and learn from and teach your colleagues.
  • Great communication skills in English, both spoken and written, along with an interest in networking and creating relationships, and practice Agile Ways of Working.
  • Academic degree, preferably in IT, computer science, or engineering.
