Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Test Engineer.

The Data Collection System team is responsible for developing and operating our client’s solution to collect vehicle data over the air. The solution is designed to meet their high standards for privacy compliance, flexibility, and fast response times, and they are continuously adding new capabilities to meet the expectations and increasing needs from analytics for Engineering and also for new customer services.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the complete system design and architecture to be able to develop efficient test case scenarios.
  • Prepare and perform tests in different testing environments (RIG, HIL, complete vehicle)
  • Analyze test results and communicate with involved parties.
  • Perform problem-solving, fault tracing, and debugging.
  • Ensure their testing validates quality and adheres to safety regulations.
  • Collaborate in defining requirements and maintaining test documentation.
  • Investigate and improve their test environments, making sure they cover their needs for future platforms.
  • Be involved in technical discussion and decisions.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical and/or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience from the automotive industry.
  • Solid knowledge in software development, testing, test strategies, and quality assurance.
  • Experience working with integration-driven development and evolving systems in complex electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with requirement handling, safety standards, and product reliability in automotive contexts.
  • Background in automotive, preferably in in-vehicle communications, with basic knowledge of Cloud applications and TCP/IP communication as a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python coding and automotive Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
