Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Brake System SW Verification Engineer.

Within Deceleration & Steering they now have an exciting opportunity for you to join their team as a brake system SW verification engineer in the brake modulation team, who has the overall responsibility for the system selection, design, and verification. At ART Deceleration they are responsible for hardware and software, and their work stretches from early phases to industrialization and launching new cars on the market. Their main role is to develop SW for the brake system to fulfill customer expectations. They make impact on the customer’s experience of a premium car!

Responsibilities:

  • Work on the realization of a safety system for the next generation of highly automated electrical vehicles.
  • Verify software to ensure and confirm the functions and attributes required for the safety system.
  • Take the lead in the development to secure future braking systems.
  • Explore and define new methodologies to accelerate development loops, improving system verification with a focus on fidelity and integration of HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) systems.
  • Implement automation and continuous integration practices within the scope of the project.
  • Conduct testing in various environments, ranging from HiL simulations to actual vehicle testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile processes and tools.
  • Lead collaboration efforts with other teams and suppliers involved in the project.
  • Take responsibility for the implementation and quality assurance of the brake system.

Team Tasks Include:

  • Conceptualize, demonstrate, and integrate new virtual methodologies for brake SW testing.
  • Work with concepts and suppliers according to the platform and vehicle targets.
  • Breakdown of complete vehicle attribute requirements to system level and own and ensure fulfillment of all system requirements.
  • Ensure the verification of the SW to the project milestones.
  • Develop verification methods.
  • Continuous integration will be part of the daily work – both to design and maintain.
  • Vector knowledge both in HW and SW

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in electrical, computational, automotive engineering, or controls and systems.
  • Passion for cars and chassis systems.
  • Competence and learning ability in developing virtual analysis tools for system engineering.
  • Forward-thinking approach to understanding future needs and drawing conclusions from simulation and real-world data analysis.
  • 2-5 years of experience in software testing or development.
  • Experience with SiL/HiL tools and development of one of the chassis systems for passenger cars.
  • Proficiency in tools such as C++, Vector, GIT/Gerrit, CANalyzer, CANoe, Vtest studio, CAPL, SW Quality Assurance.
  • Possession of a B driving license.
  • Knowledge of Autosar and Python would be meritorious.
