Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior UX Designer – Design System. They are on a disruptive mission to give people the freedom to move. By exploring futures, their aim is to design experiences around human needs, innovating to provide mobility that is personal, sustainable and safe. They are on an ambitious journey to redefine what it means to give people freedom to move in the most innovative times in the mobility industry. Our client is looking to redefine all aspects of its eco-system – from the vehicle itself, to how it is owned, driven, powered and purchased online. User Experience as a discipline is a key part of their strategy and its UX organisation is helping to gather insights about their users and redefine and elevate the users experience of their products and services.

Responsibilities: 

• As a Senior UX Designer within the Web Design System team, you’ll help grow, expand and improve the Web Design System, developing a deep understanding of their users’ needs and pain-points.
• You’ll use those insights to imagine creative solutions that balances the needs of their customers and product teams in an elegant way, through developing their Figma libraries and documentation.
• You will advocate for the design system internally and integrate feedback and changes into the design system as appropriate.
• You will work closely with user-researchers, fellow designers, developers, and other experts to test critical assumptions, gathering valuable data and create delightful experiences for existing and becoming customers.
• As a UX designer you will also be an internal thought-leader on user experience best practices and trends.

Qualifications:

• You’ve been designing for 6+ years for a consumer-focused tech company, so you understand what it takes to create elegant, consumer-oriented experiences.
• You have a high-level understanding of web development and the specific constraints of designing for the web.
• You have prior experience working on design systems for a medium-to-large organisation.
