Assignment Description

Our client is currently seeking a  highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team and contribute to an exciting project aimed at reducing emissions from combustion engines in Power Cutters. As a key member of their R&D team, you will be responsible for the mechanical design work using Catia V5 software, focusing on specific components within the project. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the technical development of the product, ensuring it meets stringent standards for time, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Catia V5 to design and develop mechanical components for emission reduction in Power Cutters.
• Lead smaller projects within the R&D department, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with line managers to estimate project timelines and allocate resources effectively.
• Provide regular status updates to the project manager, highlighting progress and any potential issues.
• Participate in project team meetings, engaging with relevant R&D members to drive progress and innovation.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in similar projects or industries.
• Proficiency in Catia V5 software for mechanical design and development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead smaller projects within an R&D environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience in emission reduction projects or related environmental initiatives.
