Assignment Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer – Software and Test equipments for their engineering department of Manufacturing Engineering – SWDL and EOL). The department is responsible for design and delivery of programs to Download vehicle Software and programs/scripts to test and calibrate the vehicles before the car is factory complete.

You will be part of an engineering team that develop engineering solutions that fulfil attribute requirements and manufacturing process demands within decided cost and time frames. The work includes contacts with other engineering departments as well plant engineering within our company as well as with external suppliers.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop scripts and test them
• Fault tracing our SW scripts on vehicle
• Contact with stakeholder on engineering level at R&D to feedback test results on systems / components
• Participate at in test planning and test execution meetings

Required qualifications:

• Experience as a Mechatronic/Software Engineer for at least 6 years.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Technical education at university level or equivalent experience.
• Possibility to travel on business trips to China or Charleston for 2-3 weeks in a row

Additional qualifications:

• VCATS system knowledge
• Knowledge in Volvo Cars Base Technologies.
• Basic knowledge Data communication on CAN & TCP/IP
