Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Cloud Developer – Digital Key & Approach.

The Connected Experience organization within R&D comprises Remote Functions, Connectivity and Car Cloud Platform, Infotainment Platform, Applications, and Data & Diagnostics. Their vision is to connect all cars and provide an enhanced experience for both new and existing vehicles.

Within the Car Cloud Platform and Remote Functions department, their mission is to globally enable remote functions that contribute to the overall connected experience. They build, provide, and operate a highly secure runtime ecosystem for functions and applications serving connected cars and their users.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development efforts in the new domain of digital key technology, where the phone serves as the primary key for automobiles.
• Architect and implement solutions for connecting users and digital keys with vehicles in the cloud and on actual mobile devices.
• Integrate solutions with major industry players such as Google, Samsung, and Apple, among others, to ensure seamless interoperability.
• Drive innovation and differentiation through cloud development, leveraging expertise to push boundaries and solve complex challenges.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, plan work, and execute on deliverables.
• Champion best practices in cloud development, emphasizing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) as essential components of the development process.
• Utilize Kubernetes to orchestrate and manage containerized applications, playing a key role in shaping the future direction of the technology.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating new insights into development strategies and solutions.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and excellence in all aspects of development, ensuring robust, reliable, and scalable solutions.

Your Background:

• Possess 5-10 years of experience as a cloud developer, demonstrating a deep understanding of cloud computing principles and practices.
• Exhibit curiosity and a quality mindset, constantly seeking opportunities to innovate and improve processes.
• View CI/CD as indispensable for modern software development, with hands-on experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Have proficient knowledge and practical experience with Kubernetes, understanding its role in container orchestration and its importance for future development efforts.
• Previous experience in the automotive industry is advantageous, particularly in tight integrations with vehicle systems, although primary focus will be on cloud development.
• Display strong organizational and execution skills, capable of translating requirements into actionable plans and delivering results within agreed timelines.
• Possess excellent communication and collaboration abilities, able to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
• Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and development, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
