Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Test Engineer – Central Platform.

Our client envisions a future where friends, families, and children are transported in a personal, sustainable, and safe way. They are building a self-driving, fully electric, connected, and highly secure car.

At the core of their innovation is a new platform featuring a central computer capable of hosting a vast array of electric control units and applications—a vehicle control unit. In their R&D department, they code the base software for this computer to enhance computational power and seamlessly integrate applications.

The central computer-in-the-car architecture of future vehicles will facilitate advanced connectivity, machine learning, and autonomous driving capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop base test case scenarios for other teams to build upon.
• Ensure the quality and compliance of testing stages with safety regulations.
• Support development teams by providing guidelines for test frameworks and utilizing base test scenarios.
• Participate in requirement definition and documentation within the test records.

Qualifications:

• Experience working as a system tester in a modern software development environment with a highly automated test framework and continuous integration.
• Familiarity with supporting and educating others in using, updating, and troubleshooting tests.
• Basic understanding of requirement handling and an interest in proving product compliance with safety standards and reliability requirements.
• Competence in developing code using Python.
• Experience in automotive Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.

Desired Attributes:

• Proficiency in Scrum methodology and experience with planning work in two-week cadences.
• Familiarity with functional safety standards, particularly ISO26262.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
