Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Digital Architect.

As a Digital Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the development of the platform core and common platform services. Your focus will be on solving complex technical challenges related to cloud infrastructure automation, multi-region networking, authentication/authorization, and logging/metrics collection at scale. Additionally, you will provide tooling and frameworks for engineering teams to enable transaction tracing, performance analysis, business monitoring, and alerting.


  • Lead or contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, addressing complex technical challenges in monitoring distributed systems at scale.
  • Drive the roadmap for Observability platforms in collaboration with cross-functional partners, integrating multiple perspectives to ensure success.
  • Build, lead, and mentor an Observability team, fostering a culture of teamwork, trust, and mutual success.
  • Engage in deep technical design discussions within your team and across partner teams to ensure the development of the right systems.
  • Promote the adoption of best practices in monitoring, alerting, and performance across development teams.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to implement monitoring and observability instrumentation within their platforms.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for Monitoring and Observability services.
  • Utilize containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Implement cloud infrastructure automation, with a strong preference for experience in Azure.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient experience with Azure cloud services.
  • Previous experience delivering Observability at scale is required.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and distributed systems development.
  • Experience with services programming languages such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Scala, Clojure, Python, or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems and monitoring/alerting systems.
  • Experience designing and building reliable systems at scale.
  • Familiarity with distributed tracing systems such as Jaeger or Open Zipkin.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CDK, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
