Our client in the automotive industry is looking for a Senior Java Developer for an assignment in Stockholm.

About the team
Fulfillment Cluster, add-ons fulfillment team, a segment of the client’s Commercial Digital area, aims to offer their customers a customized, effortless, and cost-effective experience as part of owning one of their cars. The team supports the rest of the organization in using this knowledge to serve the customers in the best possible way. You will help the client craft a world class digital ecosystem that spans across multiple product teams and clusters. The client has only just begun this journey, and you’ll be joining them at a time where you can really make a great impact and help them set the tone for the next chapter in the story of their company.

Who you are:

We think you are an experienced backend engineer who’s worked on several products in the past. You possess senior expertise in Java and have experience from developing and handling micro service based solutions in production environments. You have a solid understanding of modern software engineering practices and the ability to weigh different options against each other and make informed decisions regarding the most suitable technical solutions to cater for the client’s  needs. To be successful in this role you must be a strong team player with the ability to inspire, drive and create commitment amongst your peers and colleagues. Last but not least, we expect you be passionate about learning and keep building on top of your current skill set while supporting others doing the same.

• You should have a start-up mentality where you have quickly developed prototypes and catalysed product development in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
• You are a hands-on developer with backend experience. You are experienced with agile development and a champion of software development best practices.
• You who have at least 8 years of work experience developing applications with Java 11 onwards
• You have experience using databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• You have experience using Docker, Kubernetes, Microservice architecture, Spring/Spring Boot, REST API design principles, Kafka, Swagger/OpenAPI, CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc).
• You are proficient in English.

What you’ll do:

• Contribute towards the backend development, testing, maintenance and integration of applications / systems
• Participate and drive ideation and brainstorming sessions to devise creative and disruptive digital solutions
• Leverage upon modern frameworks and tools to build, deploy, monitor and maintain the client’s solutions
• Collaborate with representatives from supported business area(s)
• Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Evaluate options and the performance tradeoffs / benefits in collaboration with others
• Promote quality in the client’s deliveries
