Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Designer to join their Seats department.

Our client is on an exciting journey, working in a fast-paced global environment to innovate and improve their operations. The Seats department is dedicated to developing and delivering leading safe seating experiences. Their purpose is to provide the best personal, sustainable, and safe seating experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop ECU software, lead necessary work, and report to management.
  • Collaborate with other Engineering Departments/ARTs, Procurement, Production, testing facilities, etc.
  • Evaluate different technical solutions to ensure vehicles meet high safety standards.
  • Contribute to new architectural software development for ART Protective Safety.
  • Define vehicle-level system design requirements for various components, including electrical and software requirements.
  • Collaborate with Functional Safety (ISO26262) & Cyber Security engineers and legal analysts to define specifications for internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Actively participate in joint reviews for Software, System Safety & Cyber Security according to the project plan.
  • Define network signal interfaces for communication between ECUs.
  • Support test engineers in defining system-level test cases and assist in test/verification activities.
  • Define diagnostics strategy based on the overall system design.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Embedded Systems/Mechatronics or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Networking protocols such as CAN, LIN, or FlexRay, etc.
  • Familiarity with requirement engineering.
  • Overall knowledge of embedded electronic systems.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in the Design, Development, and Validation of automotive electrical/electronic components.
  • Automotive ECU technical knowledge and previous experience in component ownership, software module ownership, or AUTOSAR BSW module configuration expertise, etc.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Good To Have:

  • Working knowledge of programming in Embedded C or similar language.
  • Knowledge in electrical components such as DC Motors, Actuators, Sensors (Hall Sensors, Temperature Sensors), circuit design, and electrical schematics.
