Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Tester – Digital Key & Approach.

The Connected Experience organization within R&D includes Remote Functions, Connectivity and Car Cloud Platform, Infotainment Platform, Applications and Data & Diagnostics. Their vision and strategy are to maximize the attractiveness of owning and using their cars, make all cars connected, and provide a continuously enhanced experience for both new and existing cars. The Agile Release Train (ART) Remote Functions mission within the Department Car Cloud Platform and Remote Functions is to enable remote functions globally to contribute to the overall connected experience. They build, provide, and operate a highly secure run-time ecosystem for functions and applications serving their connected cars and users. They aim to optimize functional and organic growth by using cutting-edge standards from Car Connectivity Consortium® together with cloud services, the latest technology from phone OEMs, and connectivity. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with development teams, including their current team of testers.
• Perform testing of embedded software, incorporating automated testing within their Continuous Integration (CI) system.
• Conduct testing on embedded software, hardware, and wireless components connecting to their cloud infrastructure.
• Utilize real mobile devices and cars for testing purposes.
• Define and execute test scenarios, ensuring comprehensive coverage and quality assurance.
• Propose innovative approaches for testing, contributing to the enhancement of their testing methodologies.
• Play a pivotal role in shaping the core competence of our client’s future team.
• Embrace the journey towards creating a connected experience, anticipating and addressing challenges with enthusiasm and creativity.

Qualifications:

• Relevant education in testing or development and a strong belief in the importance of exploratory testing.
• Understanding that while our client’s field is tech-heavy, test cases must also prioritize user experience.
• Extensive experience as a tech-savvy tester, proficient in performing tests and planning test activities.
• Background in manual and/or automation testing on both hardware and software.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Willingness to travel as part of the role.
