Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Safety/Functional Safety Engineer for Active Safety/Collision Avoidance with a focus on System/Functional Safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expertise in System Safety and Functional Safety, particularly in ISO 26262 and SOTIF, with a primary emphasis on Active Safety and Collision Avoidance functions.
  • Document, assist in the development, systemize, integrate, verify, and launch safe Collision Avoidance experiences for customers.
  • Collaborate within a team responsible for Collision Avoidance functions, contributing to function design, systemization, realization, integration, requirements management, decomposition, and Function Verification and Validation (V&V) in both virtual and physical test environments.
  • Work on prioritized tasks determined by the team’s needs, contributing and learning as required.
  • Focus primarily on system safety-related tasks while engaging in collaborative efforts with colleagues from various teams within the organization and Zenseact, their software supplier, all sharing the same goals for Autonomous Driving (AD) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions.

Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. degree or comparable relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.
  • Documented experience in system safety-related assignments and/or system or function design, preferably within Active Safety/Collision Avoidance.
  • Proficiency in defining system requirements and interfaces, as well as documenting and verifying safety-critical systems.
  • Experience in Cyber Security, knowledge of legal requirements, System Safety, and ISO 26262 standards is meritorious.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Possession of a driver’s license (Class B) with adequate driving experience.
