Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is seeking a Testing Technology Engineer with expertise in metrology and networking to join their Testing Technology & Metrology team within R&D.

In the Testing Technology & Metrology department, our client establishes and develops relationships with test engineers across nearly all system areas of the vehicle, while also gaining a deep understanding of the technology within those areas. They offer metrology expertise, solutions for testing, instrumentation loans, and the design and service of development tools for testing departments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the internal R&D organization and external customers/colleagues in using a variety of metrology and testing tools.
• Focus on measurement solutions in vehicles, addressing both software and hardware issues related to these tools.
• Assist in fault tracing, functionality enhancement, and method development.
• Operate both new and existing measurement solutions in rigs and vehicles.
• Collaborate closely with test engineers from various departments such as Electric Powertrain, Active Safety, Chassis, and Electrics/Electronics to develop suitable measurement solutions.
• Utilize development tools such as INCA, Vector, and Dewesoft, and manage different physical tools.
• Share knowledge to build and maintain a broad network within R&D and with suppliers.
• Shape your own deliveries and develop your skills in both technical fields and metrology.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a technical support role, with strong knowledge of metrology tools and techniques.
• Understanding of calibration, quality work, and relevant standards.
• General automotive knowledge and a strong interest in technology and problem-solving.
• A valid driver’s license (B) is advantageous.
