Assignment Description

Our client is currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who excels at analyzing complex issues in microservice architectures and has solid coding/scripting experience.

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Extensive experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, and CI/CD processes.
• Experience working with any major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
• Proficient in designing cloud infrastructure and applying best practices.
• Experience in engineering and building Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.
• A service-minded team player with a quality-driven approach.
• Provide high-quality support, drive troubleshooting, perform Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), and advise Development teams.
• Participate in the handover from configuration/release.
• Handle and drive software deployments.
• Monitor platform services.
• Strive to enhance the automation framework within CI/CD.
• Lead continuous improvements and innovations.

Required Skills & Experience:

Profile: Mid-level

• More than 3 years of experience in Linux and Network administration.
• Experience with database administration, e.g., MongoDB.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Microservices.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, automation implementation, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, and ServiceNow.

Profile: Senior level

• Software development skills in Python.
• Over 5 years of experience in Linux and Network administration.
• Over 5 years of experience in administering cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Application Performance Monitoring tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with centralized logging platforms (e.g., Elastic stack, Splunk, Datadog).
• Experience in Identification/Access Management such as SAML and OAuth.

Additional Information Specifically for This Job Request:

• A good general understanding of distributed systems and microservice architecture.
• A solid technical background in IT system development/system administration.
• Software engineering background and/or experience in tool development (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, or Kotlin).
