Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Test Engineer.

The Engineering Data Hub team is responsible for developing and operating our client’s solution to collect vehicle data over the air. This solution meets high standards for privacy compliance, flexibility, and fast response times. The team is continuously enhancing capabilities to meet the growing demands of Engineering analytics and new customer services.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the complete system design and architecture to develop efficient test case scenarios.
• Prepare and perform tests in various environments, including RIG, HIL, and complete vehicles.
• Analyze test results and communicate with involved parties.
• Conduct problem-solving, fault tracing, and debugging activities.
• Ensure that testing validates quality and adheres to safety regulations.
• Collaborate in defining requirements and maintaining test documentation.
• Investigate and improve test environments to cover needs for future platforms.
• Participate in technical discussions and decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

• University Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, and/or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience in the automotive industry.
• Solid knowledge in software development, testing, test strategies, and quality assurance.
• Experience with integration-driven development, focusing on how to expand functionality and evolve systems within a complex electrical system.
• Background in automotive, preferably in in-vehicle communications; basic knowledge of Cloud applications and TCP/IP communication is a plus.
• Familiarity with Scrum methodologies and comfort working in a dynamic, two-week sprint cycle.
• Proficiency in Python coding and automotive Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
