Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a CI/CD DevOps Engineer.

At their Software factory team, they are building a community with highly skilled personnel. They are harmonizing the workflows and developing tools to be used across R&D, with the aim to
accelerate the software development at our client.

Team Responsibilities:

  • Develop continuous integration (CI) architecture and infrastructure.
  • Maintain the complete software build and CI flow.
  • Enable high utilization of infrastructure, test objects, and test artifacts.
  • Create automated tools and applications to secure an efficient flow.
  • Support traceability to fulfill all legal requirements.
  • Apply manufacturing principles and techniques to software development to mimic the benefits of traditional manufacturing and create a software product line.

Main Responsibilities:

  • As a CI/CD Developer, you will be part of a competent agile team, making a significant impact by supporting various R&D development teams with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
  • Configure, implement, and automate Continuous Integration/Delivery pipelines for efficient software delivery, including the integration of test automation frameworks.
  • Continuously strive to improve the speed, efficiency, scalability, and stability of the CI system and environment.
  • Design and implement systems for visualizing development status to create transparency and enable appropriate actions.
  • Act as a liaison between development teams and IT, helping to capture demand, trends, and other relevant information.

Required Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. in Electrical and/or Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in automation scripting with Python, Bash, Batch, Groovy, or Shell.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts of CI/CD, automated testing, and disciplined methods in the design, development, debugging, and testing of software programs.
  • Experience with continuous integration infrastructure tools for software development (such as Jenkins, Zuul CI, and similar).
  • Experience with relevant tools and techniques (e.g., Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience working in an agile environment with methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
