Assignment Description
Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking an Embedded Software Tester to join their Vehicle Modes SW team. This team develops application software that manages vehicle modes in the car, controlling electrical energy optimization and function availability through daily drive cycles and the vehicle’s entire life cycle. The software provides essential functionality to the core system of the SPA2/SPA3 software & electronic platform. The team is responsible for the entire development chain – including requirement management, system design, software development, software testing in rigs and cars, and safety/security documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the correctness and quality of application software for the SPA2/SPA3 core system.
- Contribute to the implementation and execution of an automated workflow that includes continuous integration and testing of new software.
- Work in close collaboration with a broad spectrum of competences within hardware (HW), software (SW), and system engineering to expand knowledge in many different fields.
Qualifications:
- Communicates effectively in English.
- Holds a B.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field. An M.Sc. is considered extra meritorious.
- Experience in software design and development and/or software testing for embedded applications.
- Background in continuous integration and automation, familiar with tools like Git, Jenkins, Zuul, and CMake.
- Experience in embedded software testing, familiar with CAPL.
- Knowledgeable in automotive communication and ISO 26262.
- Familiarity with Gerrit, MS Visual Studio, and Vector tools like CANoe, CANalyzer, and Elektra.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink and SystemWeaver is advantageous.
