Assignment Description

Our client is currently seeking an Informatica Data Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will enhance our client’s Data Delivery function within the Data & Analytics area. You will be a crucial member of one of their agile Data Delivery teams, developing new and maintaining existing data integrations into their Informatica-based data platform. You will collaborate closely with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, Business Intelligence Architect, Data Analyst, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the client’s common Enterprise Data Warehouse platform (iData) using Informatica PowerCenter and an Oracle database.
• Design secure and reliable workflows for staging, cleansing, and loading to ensure high performance.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand processes, and provide inputs for solution specifications of development tasks.
• Populate Operational Data Stores (ODS) and data marts with quality data for use in BI solutions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing solutions.
• Investigate and resolve reported defects.
• Support data quality management routines.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of development experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
• Experience working with various databases and file formats, including CSV, XML, and JSON.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and experience in designing Data Warehouse solutions.
• Analytical skills with the ability to understand data within a business context.
• Competence in file/data handling scripts using Shell or Python is advantageous.
• Proven experience in implementing solutions and analyzing and addressing data quality issues.
• Experience in the banking domain is highly desirable.
