Assignment Description
Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking an Equipment Engineer for a Machining On-site assignment in Olofström. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Manufacturing Engineering Casting and Stamping organization tasked with designing new High Pressure Die Casting Lines, Machining lines, and Facilities. The ME team’s responsibilities include specifying and laying out new equipment, die casting lines, and machining lines, as well as supporting product development.
As an Equipment Engineer, you will report to the Area Leader and act as the ME stakeholder in product projects, supporting the successful release of new products for the assigned area. This involves communicating and verifying ME demands, conducting product feasibility studies, and providing constructive product feedback to the R&D department.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the ME representative in product engineering meetings.
- Responsible for RFQs and interface between Line-builders & ME.
- Act as the contact and interface between ME & Production Shops, FM/Construction, and Commodity Process-Engineers.
- Support product interface deliveries for the project.
- Own assigned items in the Team Backlog(s).
- Update the Area Leader with assigned deliveries in the project.
- Participate in all necessary risk analyses, FMEAs, and documentation of Lessons Learned.
- Support the project handover to the plant.
- Drive assigned tasks towards agreed manufacturing targets.
- Responsible for reporting IE#/Gateway/Milestone/PIE reports.
- Actively network and collaborate with other manufacturing engineers to improve commonality, Ways of Working (WoW), and the profession.
- Participate in design review meetings with suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Experience in product development positions.
- Experience working with CNC machining.
- Experience in lean manufacturing.
- Possesses proficiency in English and Swedish.
