Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Component Project Leader to strengthen their team. You will serve as the project leader for all activities related to the development and maintenance of the Headlamp Control Unit. This role involves planning and implementing hardware and software changes across vehicle projects.

ART Exterior Systems is responsible for developing the vehicle’s exterior mechatronic systems, including exterior lighting (headlamps, rear lamps), wiper, washer, sensor cleaning, and rear-view systems. The responsibility includes function development as well as hardware and software oversight. The Exterior Lighting Functions team is tasked with function ownership and the development of the software needed to control the exterior lighting functionality.

Main Responsibilities:

• Establish the technical solution and align with stakeholders.
• Ensure the final product’s quality through actions such as FMEA, Design Reviews, and test planning.
• Ensure that design prerequisites are developed on time and fulfilled during component sourcing.
• Monitor the budget for component development.
• Act as the technical contact for all issues related to the component.
• Lead the technical team consisting of suppliers and internal team members.

Required Qualifications:

• B.Sc. degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a similar field.
• Experience working as a project leader or team leader, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Fluent communication skills in English.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience leading sourcing activities, including ESOW preparation.
• Experience in software or hardware design for automotive applications.
• Knowledge of System Safety ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR.
