Assignment Description

We are seeking a Data Scientist to assist the Personalization Strategic Programming (PSP) team to our client, where their mission is to create value by implementing responsible inorganic interventions into our client´s content programming. They shape the listeners’ demand with relevant alterations, leading to profitable business and strategic outcomes for creators and our client. While doing so, they measure the long-term value of their users and content to protect the listeners’ experience and enable profitable decision-making. Your work will crucially influence how the world experiences music, connecting a billion fans with over a million artists.

As a Data Scientist contractor at our client, you will collaborate with the PSP Data Science team. Their team is passionate about data and insights, informing product decisions, and supporting engineering teams in their product development. They excel at defining and measuring impact using controlled experiments and organically occurring relationships. They cherish a fun, friendly, high-impact, and music-oriented work environment!

This position is contracted for three months and based in our client´s Stockholm office.

What you’ll do:

  • Apply data science techniques to analyze user and content data, aiming to optimize content programming interventions that shape listener demand and achieve profitable business outcomes.
  • Design and analyze A/B tests in a complex product.
  • Assist the continuous improvement and adoption of impact assessment frameworks and data science practices in their product area in order to increase velocity and quality in their insights products.
  • Define metrics and build and analyze dashboards, reports and key datasets to drive data informed product development
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to key partners and stakeholders within their organization and across missions, ensuring clarity and precision in all interactions.

Who you are:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related analytical discipline.
  • Proficient in SQL for querying large datasets, Python/R, and comfortable with data visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau.
  • A strong analytical mind with a deep understanding of numbers and a robust business sense to gauge impacts on our client.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines with focus on execution and results.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and skilled in communicating complex topics in simple, clear terms.
