Assignment Description
Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a SW Integration & Release Leader – Unit Vehicle Platform for their SW Integration & Release team within Operations & Quality. This team leads the software integration and release activities within their unit, supporting and coordinating the deliveries from their four engineering departments developing software.
The Vehicle Platform unit develops hardware, software, and mechatronic systems for our client’s cars. It consists of five engineering departments: Climate, Deceleration & Steering, Painted Body, Side & Roof, and Body Control & Road Contact. Additionally, two departments support these five engineering departments: Strategy & Program and Operations & Quality.
Main Responsibilities:
As a SW Integration & Release Leader, your main responsibilities will include:
- Planning, coordinating, and following up on the SW integration and release activities within the unit.
- Tracking testing activities, including what is tested, how it is tested, and the results.
- Driving solutions for impediments and test fault correction.
- Securing the necessary documentation and structure for timely releases.
- Ensuring that SW teams are always up-to-date with the latest information and timelines, supporting their deliveries.
You will be part of a small, dynamic team working across several departments and software teams, as well as with other units within Engineering. The specific integration and/or release tasks will be shared within the team for maximum flexibility.
Required Qualifications:
- A University Degree in Software Engineering or a similar field, or equivalent experience in the automotive industry, including solid knowledge in software development, testing, and system integration.
- Experience in a senior leadership role, including leading others with excellent communication skills.
- A team-oriented approach with a focus on succeeding with deliveries.
- Structured yet flexible, and enjoy creating clarity in complex situations.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
